In today's world there is a great deal of interest in finding renewable and biodegradable products to replace all or part of the ingredients used to make products that have been made from non-renewable sources in the past. The perfect example is the replacement of some of the petroleum products used to make plastics with organic renewable product such as ground corn cob.

The variety of density and particle sizes available in cob products along with the low moisture level of corn cob products makes them a great choice as a filler or extender. These renewable and biodegradable products are used in the making of concrete, plastics, and wood substitutes to name a few.
